Most people who speak passionately about Great Britain quite often haven’t fully explored their very own country. Many extol the virtues of our wonderful country while ferrying themselves off every summer to far flung places to sun themselves for a week or two. This is fine of course, but it is worth being aware of just how wonderful some of the locations are in our very own country when it comes to holidaying.
One such place is the Lake District. It is one of those places which we often hear our parents speaking of, explaining how beautiful it is. The truth is that you have to witness this place for yourself to understand just how wonderful the scenery is in this part of the world. With more lakes and mountains than anywhere else in England, it is totally unique in our country. The scenery can be completely mesmerising, and the walks throughout the whole region are remarkable for their sites. The region is superb in terms of outdoor activities, and when you get there you will soon discover that there are a whole host of organised events that you can participate in, from bike hire, to Sailing, to motor boating, to toured walks that will take you through some of the most amazing scenery that you will ever witness. It is a wonderful place to visit, and with so many lovely lake district Cottages available to rent, it is one of the easiest places to stay too!
